HIRAC adalah serangkaian proses mengidentifikasi bahaya yang dapat terjadi dalam aktifitas rutin ataupun non rutin diperusahaan, kemudian melakukan penilaian risiko dari bahaya tersebut lalu membuat program pengendalian bahaya tersebut agar dapat diminimalisir tingkat risikonya ke yang lebih rendah
